1Portofino was born to offer a brand new service in the Gulf of Tigullio.
The company was born in 2018 to manage the mooring places in San Fruttuoso di Camogli and in Punta Chiappa, significantly improving the taxi boat service.
One year later the company remarkably increased its fleet of privately owned boats to rent.
In 2019 1Portofino officially opened its first Charter and taxi boat office in Portofino, one of the most iconic villages in the world.
Thanks to its founder, Matteo Gentile, who has turned his personal passion into a real job, the company has achieved excellent results and feedback.
The company guarantees top quality service thanks to its steady attention to details and respect towards its territory.
The aim is to meet the needs of the most demanding guest, and to take him/her/* to the discovery of unique itineraries. Portofino, Santa Margherita Ligure, San Fruttuoso Di Camogli, Camogli, le Cinque Terre, Portovenere, are only some of the enchanting proposed destinations.
In 2021 1Portofino expanded its services. Besides taxi boat service and boat charter, the company decided to set up a tender service for mega yachts.
Over the years, the company has entered an international scenario, keeping up with its excellence and luxury standards. Thanks to the skipper skills together with the employees discretion, 1Portofino takes care of its guests, guiding them in a selected and supported choice of an elegant and comfortable boat.

In 2022 1Portofino yachts are chosen for special events and exclusive collaborations with luxury brands such as Belmond Hotels & Resorts, Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, Fever Tree.
1Portofino has opened his first shipyard in Ruta di Camogli.
In 2023 the company has opened its first 1Portofino Head Office in the beating heart of the Portofino’s famous “Piazzetta”.
Thanks to the new purchases of yachts, the fleet grows.
The 2024 season has seen many new features including the development of a B2B management software totally created and customized by 1Portofino.
The fleet has grown to 20 rental units through the management of new boats.
In 2026, the company further strengthens its presence in the Mediterranean with a new point of reference in the South of France, one of the world’s most iconic destinations for luxury tourism and yachting like Monaco and Cannes.
This new development represents another important step in our international growth, allowing us to offer an even more extensive and dedicated service throughout the Western Mediterranean.
